Burial has always been the customary option for families for centuries. In Trinidad & Tobago, cemetery allotments are passed down from generation to generation and are situated mainly in the more prestigious cemeteries throughout both islands. Majority of the existing cemeteries in Trinidad & Tobago are considered Public Cemeteries and such are owned and run by the state. Ownership of allotments in these cemeteries date back to their inception, and so to date unless allotments are previously owned, there is no option for purchase. However, a seven-year lease will be given for the use of allotments in the Public Cemetery, after which it will be leased to someone else. One of our FamiLee members will be willing to guide you along in deciding which is most suitable for your loved one.
